I took this of me and my fiance tonight. It looks fuzzy to me. The ISO is too high (of course I forgot to check it....aargh) and the white balance is off. But, all in all, she saves the picture, don't you think? Please let me know what else I can improve on (picture wise, of course)....

Woah! Nice work cleaning that up, cgratti. Was that done with NoiseNinja?

No, NeatImage Pro... Set to the lowest setting... it works pretty well on the lowest setting, it doesnt blur the picture to much.

WOW!!!! I tried using the noise filter in elements, but it didn't seem to help. I'll need to research how to remove noise a little bit. Thanks!!!!!

All I did was Noise Removal, Contrast, Curves, and Color Balance.

I used the free download of Neat Image and a little Focus Magic. I did not do anything to the color balance. The ISO 1600 is pretty rough. The software I use is pretty basic and the process only took about three minutes. Keep shooting and keep posting!!!

I don't mean to hijack - But the free version of neat image I found is a trial version. Did I miss something? It just reminded me because it made a huge improvement on a great pic here!

The free version of Neat Image is a trial version which means it has some limitations but I have some limitations also (money) so I keep using the trial version. I do not think there is a time limit on the "trial" time. I have been using it about a year. I did pay for the Focus Magic software ($45.00 U.S.) and I have more control over the degree of improvement I want. I use Focus Magic a lot to gently improve sharpness.

Pat -

Thanks for the info on Neat Image. I've downloaded and tried it out on the original image. It's a great tool!!!!!

Of course, if I just remember to check my settings first :-) :-)

Take Care!
