Yo lads.... Circuit city is cheapest for right now. They have the kit for 854 and online there is an additional 10% online coupon which will knock down the price to 768 something.... and if you want just the body you can you do the math....
10% coupon is for anything above 199...you can find this on internet blogs..search for it.

I got from them and Picked it up from Delware(tax free)....

Wish you all best guys..........

is this coupon the fatwallet one? i thought that one expired? unless there's a new one???

look for the comp usa weekly ad, and see if you can find their xti/kit deal for $810. take it to best buy and demand them to match it. you can save $100+

Can someone that just got an XTi tell me if you are able to adjust ISO on the fly as you can EC by pushing a button and turning the wheel. I played with an XTi today and I am really thinking of getting one and not the 30D. I am still on the fence but I just don't think I am going to miss the wheel, never having had one.

Yes you can. ISO button is on the back of the camera, turn the wheel by the shutter release.

i just came back from the camera shop lookin for deals on the 30D, and the dood tried to win me over to nikon. (am i allowed to say that word here? :p)

if you go for the xti...i think comp usa is the way to go if you want the 18-55 kit. you'll get a free bag too. it's not all that great, but it's still a bag :D

I think I got a really good deal on mine.

Dell Small Business with a 20% off coupon I bought from ebay for $4.00. I also got 2.5% cashback using fatwallet.com so that gave me back an additional $15.87. So after the cost of buying the coupon and the cash back I got the 50mm 1.8 and the XTi for about $750.00

EF 50mm f/1.8 II Lens $82.95 1 $82.95 Welcome! Save 20% off select Electronics and Accessory items - $176.39

This is my first DSLR but the pictures are already SO much better than my old Canon A75. I'm very happy right now and can't wait to learn how to use all of it's potential.

I paid the Best Buy full price of $899 for the XTi and kit. I know what an idiot. This was the first time I ever bought without looking for a better price.

Now I see my local Costco has it for $849....doh! You can't beat the Costco lifetime return policy (6 months for computers). Next time I will wait until Costco gets the item.

I finally made up my mind and ordered the XTi black body from Ritz for $799.
No Tax! Free shipping!

I'll pick up the sharp EF 50mm 1.8 locally for $80 and I'll be set for a little while. I just couldn't justify paying $100 more and get the softer kit lens.

I'll post some photos ASAP.

Thanks everyone for the info and advice. This forum is the best!
