Again you can even purchase the XTi from Costco online and if you ever want to return it...for whatever reason...you can sent it back or even take it to your local Costco for full a cash refund. There is no time limit! With that kind of return policy it's worth paying more, yet it's usually cheaper even at Costco.

Are you sure that wasn't for the XT and not the XTi? Best Buy has been selling the XTi for $899 with lens and the XT for $799 with lens.

I bought the XTi black body only from Ritz online for $799 total!

Not possible to get the XTi kit at that price from Best Buy, unless you have some sort of coupon.

I have my name down for one when they come in from a local shop. (Skears in Northampton) for £470 body only!

Cheaper than anywhere I have seen on the net.

I am just waiting for the phone call to say they are in.

Yes, Sorry, it was the XT. I realized after I posted that we were talking about the XTi:oops:

No big deal. XT is a fine camera. I hear it's not worth upgrading to the XTi unless you really want the cleaning system and the extra 2MP and larger lcd.

This is my first dslr purchase so I wanted the newest model even though it costs more.

dont forget the upgraded AF and almost double the number of shots that can be taken consecutively in burst mode. :D

if anything, most people that i've seen upgrading do it for the sake of the AF.

ive heard mixed responses of the dust reduction.

I don't know if is too late but I also got the deal:
xti + kit lens + camera bag ($40 value) = $810.
the thing is that this price was only listed online, but when I went to the store to get the same price they (compusa) matched the price, so you are going to have to tell the sales that you saw the price online.
