USA & Canada tour (4) Blue Jay & Yellow bird

While visiting New York I went to the Madison Square gardens in Manhatten and captured these two birds, the second one I believe is a BlueJay, they are different to the ones in the UK. and simply called the Jay bird.
The first one I have no idea what the ID is, but a person approached me and said I see you have framed a 'yellow thrower'. I don't think there is a name as yellow thrower unless he nicknamed it this. Hope you enjoy these shots, not as sharp as I would like as they were handheld shots.

Nice shots Tony even if hand held. What a beautiful bird that yellow thrower is.

The jay seems to be molting.
In Canada we call the first bird "yellow throw-upper".;)
