Yup, saving for web is making my images flat. :(
Thanks Dante for the comment!

Very lovely model.

As to saving for web making pictures flat, don't be so quick to jump to that conclusion. I did and was wrong.

In my case, at least, I'm still a dyed in the wool AOL user. AOL is not a color managed browser. I don't know why, but it's not.

So, whenever I'd post a picture on the web, I'd immediately see a complete lack of "punch" in the photo. I thought it was my method of saving also, but it wasn't.

Once I looked at my pictures in Safari, the web browser on my Mac, they looked just like I saw them originally in PS, "punchy."

That may be the problem here.

You can't really mean that:cry: Other than the saving for the web issue, this is just another lovely photo of your girl. Hope it won't be long before you post more.

Is this what you wanted it to look like? If so, it's a color profile problem - before saving for web go to edit, convert to profile, then convert to sRGB. Most browsers just assume that the image is saved in sRGB, which loses some color and "punch."

No problem :) - I recently had the same issue. I, of course, thought there was something wrong with my browser or with my monitor calibration. I don't know if this is the case with your setup, but when I "save for web"'d, it actually showed it as the duller colors in the preview window. It took me a while to figure that one out:rolleyes:, so now I take the extra time to examine that preview before saving.

Thanks, I'm not sad anymore:D Can't wait to see the shots you take of her with the 85mm 1.8. That is the very first thing on my wish list. Maybe I'll buy me one for Xmas. And I don't blame you for wanting to show her off.
