Nice view John, as you said you get a bit of a washed out look, frustrating I know.

When you 'save for web' make sure you use the 'use document colour profile' option behind one of those little arrow things near the save button, I always have my picture in sRGB mode too. I had similar trouble a while ago.

Thanks John. The "use document colour profile" is the solution (once I found it that is).

Very pleasing view of the tarn. Ive often waondered about a view from near here but always seem to have little time to stop and explore away from the path near the western shore.

You've done a great job on this one John. I love the lead in with the stone wall and there is plenty to keep the eye entertained throughout.

The far off mountains really catch my eye in this shot John, their exposed nicely, and good lead-in with the rock wall, great shot

Now this is calender quality!

I had even less time as I was trying to get round the Lakes in a day. So, it will definitely be worth other and longer visits so that I can better appreciate more of the area.

Thanks Robert, I thought that about the wall when I took the photo that a left right diagonal would be a good compositional element.

Good shot, John, interesting composition. I like to use diagonal elements from the left corner, also.

Excellent composition, John. This was one of the favourite locations of Lakeland Photographic Holidays. I took about 20 shots around the tarn - none as good as this!

Thanks Mike. That Lakeland thing sounds like a good idea, and especially so if they go over Photoshop processing too.
