I never use save for web John.
After i save the original as TIFF and RGB , i reduce the size of it to the screen size that i want (and apply the usm that it needs) and i use save as , after i change the profile to sRGB.

And btw...a very nice picture you got there.;)

Interesting Dimitri, but with all these raw and tif files, you must have a very large hard drive. ;)

No surprise there then.

I've currently got 2 internal 80GB drives with one used for the system, and one for data. I've also got a 320GB external drive that mirrors the data drive (and also backs up other PCs). My 80GB data drive is getting pretty full though with all of my original files, so perhaps it is time to upgrade the smaller drives.

I like the composition of the wall here, the detail leads you nicely into the shot.

That looks great. A very "tourist board" type photo. And great composition too, love the way the wall leads your eye into the scene. Good work.

When you 'save for web' make sure you use the 'use document colour profile' option behind one of those little arrow things near the save button, I always have my picture in sRGB mode too. I had similar trouble a while ago.

Thanks Andy,

This happened to me some months ago and I couldn't figure it out for the life of me. I eventually clicked the "default" settings in Adobe and it cured itself. I guess now I realize that the colour profile button must have been clicked at some point accidentally and I never noticed it.

Vibrant pictures would turn out looking like they were viewed through sheer curtains... now I know what to do if it happens again.

Cousin. ;)

Very interesting that you went for f6.3 reducing the dof but it works well.
This has nicely placed the emphasis and attention in the fg and mg.
Nice shot.

Thanks Paul, the reason for f/6.3 was simply because my tripod was back in the car and not with me, so the shot was handheld. I had chosen to go to up iso200, and down to 1/60s, so exposure-wise f/6.3 was what I ended up with. ;)

Good shot of a great view, its the 2nd Tarn Hows to me. I have a shot framed each side of the fireplace, taken from the same spot but futher down each side of the wood fence, must of been less water in the tarn when I took them.
