These are two very recent photos, from a musical venue in Central CA. One is for sharing mostly (There was a party going on the stage, people were just yawning and scratching their heads, but the artists where in their own groove), and the second one is another harmonica player's portrait. This man was a show on its own.
Remember when the Blues brothers used to take to the stage, and Arkroid would unlock the case, open it, and bust open a harmonica?... Well, this fella who flew in from Hawaii, had a case with about -I kid you not- about 15 harmonicas. I am not a learned man in the art of music, but that sounded like a lot to me. He also could have gone by like a George Carlin Stunt double.
Anyhow, there was no way to photograph him outside the backstage area, or around that area (which did not please me as a background) until I caught him going to the Parking Lot, and then coming right back to the Backstage. As that happened, I had my chance as he approached me. Of the burst of shots, this one seemed to me the most artistic one, with a background that was more neutral than a thousand cables or black amps.
C&Cs are extremely appreciated. I played with the Coloring on the image, so you may right away notice brightness, or saturation. However, do share how -if- you like the shot and how you approached similar situations.
Cheers,
