I know the background is bad, beside that, CC are always welcome.

background is odd, but other than that it's good. don't like the fading in the corners though. for the crop it's too intrusive

I agree, the background is distracting, but......

......the model is gorgeous, the pose is great (maybe drop the elbow a bit) and the lighting works well.

Great job.

The background is ok. Her hands and elbow are a major problem. The elbow is not only distracting, it is at an odd angle. Her other hand is also not too good. I suggest that you buy a book by the late Don (Big Daddy) Blair titled "Body Parts". It's the best book ever on posing ... especially hand and feet.

The lighting is also a bit on the flat side. As I said, the background is fine. More of a distraction is where the sheet pulled back and showed the mattress pattern.

I have re-worked your image and hope my efforts help you see what I was saying. I can't do anything about her hands and arm though.

Beautiful model in a good pose. I would crop a little closer.

For sixty bucks  ... it had better be the best!! Too rich for my blood when I'm saving for better lenses...I couldn't find a used copy either.

Please understand that the following is not a reflection on your abilities, but more a statement on priorities:

There is a saying that it's not the camera but the photographer that takes the photograph. I submit that you might find your photography much more improved through the investment in learning technique rather than in investing is better glass, especially in the short term. That's where most of my recent purchases have been, in books and other training -- and in practicing what I'm reading.

Just my $.02
