You guys spend too much money on cleaning. I've found the biggest bang for the buck. Also, it takes the ugly film off the front of the lens that factory puts on it for shipping.

Dood, when you have very expensive/precious SLR cameras and lenses, the cleaning methods have to be commensurate in cost.

However, with 3rd party gear like that one of yours, even your brutal cleaning method should be adequate.

Welcome to the hottest Canon gear forum on POTN.

Welcome to POTN.

Thanks! I've been a Canon boy for 25+ years. Still shooting film but I think it is time for me to make the switch. Does Chuck Westfall chime in once in awhile?

BTW - I found that photo on Google images.

I believe so, but have no evidence for it whatsoever. I think he could be using the ID "Tareq" here.

This question is for L collectors of some stature, like Master Belmondo, AeroSmith, CoolToolGuy, Unstoppable F Jojo, BearSummer, SSIM, TomF...:D

What type (brand) of cleaning lenspens do you use on your precious lenses, and what is your experience (tips) with it ?

As usual, faithful to my fossil ways:o , I have been using Kodak paper + bottled lens cleaner all my life. Now, not only that I am getting a bit tired of it, but these days it is harder to travel with those sorts of liquids. Therefore I'd like to try something else that will give really good results and yet be practical and easily portable.

Naturally, even lesser L collectors/apprentices like Dante can share their experience with lenspens, should they have any, that is. ;)

I just sling the whole full camera bag in the washer - isn't that what you're supposed to do?

ROTLFMAO!!!

And nobody would ever suspect! What a perfect cover to observe us without being badgered to death about the "EOS 3D" (see CDS sig), well at least until El Geratol rides into town and busts him

Depends if you're talking the dishwasher on scrub cycle, or the clothes washer on wash, spin and extract.

If you're gonna give advice, make it succinct and to the point, will ya, huh?
