I have recently upgraded to a 5D from my trusty 350D, but have lost the ability for macro on the 5D as I have the EFS60mm.

Is it possible to use the EF12 II or similar to then mount the EFs60 onto the 5D? I know the EF12 II takes both ef and efs lenses, but I'm not ure if it effectively converts it to a EF mount!

Thanks

Mark

I suppose you could, but you'd have to crop the resulting image extensively. You would essentially get a circular image in the middle of your shot, as the elements in the lens are smaller, since its suited to an APS-C sensor.

The 60 macro appears to be an exception to this at macro working ranges (which is all that one will get with the ext tube).

I nearly sacrificed a 5D mirror to find this out since I didn't have an ext tube :p

I read a post a while back about someone doing this on a 1.3x (1Dmk2) and it only lost inf focus (of course) but had no image circle or vignetting. I'd try it.
