Went back this week to see how the colors were doing...a few more clouds in the sky this time.

I like the dead tree to the left, but the branches up above right kind of distract a little. It looks like the wind was blowing the cattails quite a bit, too. - 5D & 60D (x2), EFS 10-22, EF 17-40L, EF 50 f1.4, EF 24-105L, EF 100-400 L IS

Just found it riding around. I left the trees in there on purpose to give it some perspective but you're right, the more I look at it the more it distracts. Lumix GX8 w/12-35 2.8 and 35-100 2.8

It's pretty tough to find lakes around here that aren't surrounded by houses or some kind of civilization (telephone poles, wires, general manmad crap, etc). I've been trying to find some lakes to shoot fall colors around and am having no luck. Either you're tresspassing on someone's land or you're ripe to get shot at by hunters. haha Maybe I need to take a trip up north where the lakes are more secluded. - 5D & 60D (x2), EFS 10-22, EF 17-40L, EF 50 f1.4, EF 24-105L, EF 100-400 L IS

Or farther south, the Chelsea area has a lot of wonderful lakes and the fall colors there are better then anywhere else in SE Michigan. Wish I had time to drive down there and get a couple shots.
