Took these about 7am this morning at a small tidal stream located along the Northern Neck of Virginia.

Nice B&W conversions, but I would be tempted to crop some of the white-out sky as it doesn't really add anything, and doing so would also remove the 50/50 split of sky to land which would perhaps improve the composition.

Agree totally with John, the sky adds nothing, therefore a crop would improve.

Thank you both for pointed that out. Never occurred to me to go with a non traditional size ratio. Both shots have been changed from 11x14 to 2-1.
