POTN newbie, and thanks.

I personally feel that I should thank the various members of POTN. In the past few weeks I have gained the opinions of many of users of Canon equipment, their likes/dislikes, and have helped me in making decisions on spending a lot of money.

I am a newbie to this forum, and to DSLR. Selling off all my 35mm and 645 equipment was rewarding financially, but having to spent it all in a "new" modality of photography made me a bit skeptical. I have searched many of websites, most of them are excellent, but there are not many forums that cover the wide ground of topics, opinions, and with the laid back attitude of the members.

Anyway, just want to say thx, and I look forward to being a contribution to POTN.

Oh, I did buy a 30D, BE-G2, Tamron 17-50/2.8 Di II, and Canon 70-200/4L.

I just made the jump to DSLR photography last month myself. So much to learn, so many mistakes to be made. But this forum sure seems like it will help me overcome a lot.
