Too many bloody DJ's trying their luck at photography these days

All great shots Les

For me your pooch is the star, the pose and the way he/she is looking out to the distance almost human-like makes it a great shot.

Those are beautiful photos, I love the one with the dog especially :) Would you mind explaining your workflow?

 Yeah, well after 18+ years of DJ'ing and doing dance music remixes, I'm pretty burned out and tired of the whole scene. Photography is my passion now. :)

I agree, and I love the shot with his dog, too. Definitely a winning image. The waterfall shot is amazing...the colors are unreal. It's hard to believe they are natural...I just don't see colors like that around here. And after seeing his snow shot, I'm kind of looking forward to winter again. Let it snow! :-D

Very nice series Les.
#1 - awesome colors here, the purple along with the discolored water is really interesting
#2 - rich colors and a great sense of mystery due to the fog.
#3 - just dig this one, it's like the dog is all powerful or on top of the world
#4 and #5 don't do much for me
#6 love the cool blue cast, love how the snow has covered the street sign, and love the motion of the car lights. Only thing I'd change is I MIGHT clone out the powerline on the left of the frame.

So you were a Showaddywaddy groupie then :) :) :)

Naw! We played Rolling Stones, Who, Deep Purple, Bachman Turner Overdrive, Alice Cooper even Led Zeppelin and Pink Floyd - all at top volume on two massive speakers we built ourselves out of chipboard, industrial strength bass units and tweaters like foghorns. We had 2 vans - one was just for the speakers! On a good night we ended up with £6 each profit. (£6 bought about 10 pints of beer if I remember right...........) Oh .............. and we wore earplugs!

Funny thing is 'Box Brownie' seems to be missing from your gear list? :)

Yes, it had been raining heavy for a few days, this small fall only comes to life then.

We had a discussion at the recent Scottish meet regarding water, I mentioned that in Scotland the water is too white, whereas in Yorkshire, there is often a nice peaty colour in the water, which can give pleasing results, also explains why they produce the best malt whisky in the world :) :) :)

You might see this fall image over in the States, a publisher has bought this image for one of it's calendars (April. although image shot in Oct, hence the purple heather)

All are fantastic shots Les! The one with the guy and the suitcase and the dog are very amusing to say the least. Both of them add so much drama to the whole landscape. A very creative touch, thanks for sharing these here :) I also love the one with the fog and the first waterfall shot a lot.

Superb series! However, are you breaking the posting rules? That stated, I still enjoyed the series. Very impressive!

My mis-understanding. They say attached images. I was just wondering how you were getting away with it. I had attached images and someone had asked for two more and they were removed. I thought I was within the rules, since someone asked for the images. I must be mis-reading something???
