Yay!! I can't believe it's finally here.

A 30D sounds great, and perhaps a 24-70 f/2.8L to go with it!

Soon as possible - 30D & 17-40L. I cannot wait. My wife told me that it has to stay under $1,500 US so with the rebates that is what I have. Otherwise I would have went for the 24-70L. That will come later.

30D + 50mm f/1.4 - hopefully that is a good starter combination.

Getting it from OneCall, price matching it to B&H. :)

The 70-200 2.8L IS is in the near future. I am selling my car and buying a cheaper one to get this lens, yes I have a problem.

My first "L" purchase is in my shopping cart right now...

(these are for a 20D)

17-40 L
24-105 L IS
70-200 f4 L

My only reservations before I hit "Buy Now!"....

1. Still unsure if the 17-40 is needed since I have 10-22 and I will have the 24-105 (or 24-70 if I change my mind for the 34th time). I do take many landscape pictures and have a feeling I would use the 17-40 often (and it would be nice not to have to change lenses near the 20-24 range).

2. If I don't get the 17-40, I would have room in the budget to get the 70-200 2.8 (non IS) instead. However, I am unsure of these as I don't use my 75-300 IS often as it is.

3. Still want to have a good low light / portrait lens in my bad (other than my nifty fifty). 85 1.8? or 24-70 instead of the 24-105? I think I would prefer the extended range of the 24-105 over the 2.8 in that focal range.

Or really start over and get the 70-200 2.8 IS and a Tamron 17-50 (can't decide how important the 50-70 focal range is for me... I think I will go outside and see)...

I waited a long time for the 15th to get here- please help me rationalize my purchase :D

Bryan
