I now have enough experience and equipment to start charging for my photos and I the next step is to get a web page built.

My dilemma is that I do not know what kind of work I should seek, and I need to know this to make my web page cater to this.

I think I want to start with weddings and portraits.... But Im really not sure.

I have owned a business before so i know how to advertise and make a business work.. but I do not know what type of photography I should start with..

Any help would be great! Thanks.

May be you should start with Free lance?

Test your skills and understand what you do best. Try that because the first impression that you make to your first customer is the best.

you need to focus on your passion, because if you're paid to shoot you want to produce good results - and shooting something you aint interested in will not inspire you to make good shots.

Canon 40D :: 50mm f1.8 mk II :: 17-40mm f4 L :: EX 430 :: Canon EOS 50 :: Canon AE-1 Program :: FD 50mm f1.8 :: FD 28mm f2.8 :: FD 135mm f3.5 :: Ilford HP5 Film :: Developing kit. No website, nothing serious, I just like taking photos

I was like that too, until this year and decided to go and shoot everything and find out what I liked. I know I am absolutely not interested in weddings or fireworks. But alas...I love sports. Good, but I like different kinds, like boxing and horses. And I also love nature and fine art. Some things sell, some don't. I just built different Galleries on Smugmug to house them and feature whatever I am into at a time.

I think you will be happy. Plus I just saw POTN has started a Smuggy customization thread. Be sure to put someone's code in so you will get a discount. There are scores you can use on here.
