This location is incredible. The ruins of a church built between 1745 and 1755 near Beaufort, SC. Took a couple models down there this weekend.

Really nice work, the lighting is great. What lighting setup did you use?

Your stuff is always fun! I have become swallowed up by other things and hardly done anything fashion, glamor or portrait work, sigh.

Wow, I like 2-4! They almost have a certain glamour look to them. What was lighting for 2 and 3? Is it correct to guess a speedlight and just ambient light? :D

thanks y'all! On all these I used my Alien Bees B800 with their giant octobox and the Vagabond portable power pack.

I generally start off setting my shutter speed at about 1/200 and adjust the aperture until the background is exposed to my liking. Then I'll adjust the power of the light to properly expose the model, as well as changing the distance of the light from her if necessary. Then I've got my starting point to branch off and get creative. Adjusting the aperture will affect DOF and the exposure of the model, while adjusting shutter speed will affect the exposure of the background. If I need to open up the aperture but don't want to change the shutter speed, I'll add ND and/or polarizers to the lens.

This one is mby far my favorite. The Carolinas are really great for finding old warn down locations, all though I can tell you probably had some trouble with that pesky direct sunlight. Really good stuff.
