What do you guys think of the coloring in this one? Do you think that i should have let all of the pumpkins be colored? Or is this the best solution?

IMO - I think that they should all be left orange. It's a beautiful shot.

Neat photo. I'm not a big fan of most selective coloring but this isn't too bad. Perhaps because it contains more color than usual and is quite well done, IMO.

selective color is never to my taste. This is a wonderful shot, and doesn't need to rely on gimmicks to stand apart. I'm sure I'd like the full color version much better, do you mind posting it up for us to see?

I think that the whole picture should be in color, or at least all of the pumpkins. Just my two cents.

I prefer the color version. I have both of them posted on my site, for the family to see.

I like to play around with photoshop, and the mom said she liked one of the photos she saw in another gallery that had selective coloring so I made this one for her to possibly order a print of.

The whole gallery can be seen at www.lindsi.com (external link) under family, the ray family.

that's more like it! :) great shot. Now, I should have added the disclaimer that ANYTHING is to my taste as long as someone is paying me for it :) What the customer wants, the customer gets.

I like the selective color exactly the way you did it. The background is quite distracting at his head in the color version. Besides many people (non-photogs) like the "gimmick". IMHO

Here is my favorite way to do selective coloring lately. Though I still think I like the full color best. It's so vibrant. I hope you dont mind I messed with it!

I think you should take the color out of all the pumpkins except the one he is touching.
