Boy oh Boy, you got dumped on...
The bent trees will bounce back, and after a couple of years, will straighten out, for the most part...
Unless they are cracked within the trunk, the branches will regrow and fill in after a few years...neat trim cuts, will save the trees...
Very serious photography there, you know...
PS: I lived in Buffalo, in Cheektowaga, Elma and Depew...on a special job assignement...
Had the very same stuff happen to me here in the Pocono's... 85% of all trees near me lost the top 30% of the main trunk...many had to be cut down, some are filling in, but will never be the same...We had an Ice Storm that brought everything down to the ground...power was out 7 days and out of state utility rescue squads brought us back on line...
Because of this, I now am a proud owner of three chain saws, and several hundred feet of 5 ton belts and chains...Hope never to need them again...
Make the best of the firewood...
