All with the 30D/100-400mm at 400mm, handheld, on the coast near to my home in Blyth, North East England:

Stonechat: a female, photographed to a background of thick fog that had rolled in from the sea.

Stonechat - different bird, same horrible light!

Mind you, I think these last two are made quite interesting because they don't have the backgrounds I usually get from this venue...

The first image is superb but they are all very nice. I would be happy with any one of them.

Great set...the vertical photo with the frontal view of the Sanderling is real neat...the 1st Stonechat looks chubbier than the second one, both are precious snaps as well...

The stonechats are splendid the fog provides a great background, the Redshank however is my favourite especially after my poor attempts to photograph them at the weekend.

Wonderful shots. The color of the first shot is very appealing. Very nice exposure on the entire set with fine detail. Great set!

Excellent work here Keith. Because they're very annimate, and don't hold still very long, Sanderlings can be very difficult to get good results like these.
