I have been fiddling with the setting on my 30D including the custom functions. Today when I went to take some pictures, I noticed that the exposure meter was set to +1 in P mode. I checked the +/- setting. I checked the custom functions, but could not find an explination. I used the "Reset Camera Settings" and it went back to normal, but just curious what I could have changed to cause this?

Thanks for your help.

Yep sounds like EC. After half-pressing the shutter, use the big wheel to roll back to 0.

I have been fiddling with the setting on my 30D...

I always hear the alarm bells ringing when someone says that.

"I was fiddling with the settings on my TV and now I can't watch videos."
"I was fiddling with the settings on my PC and now I can't connect to the Internet."
"I was fiddling with the settings on my camera and now my pictures come out too dark."

Doh. Funnily enough there is a reason why all these devices have mnanuals...
