I just went ahead and ordered the Canon 70-200 f/4L. The sounds of "order it, you know you want to, just do it, do it now" ringing in my head and a small rebate finally made me give in. So now I am hoping it is as good as people say it is. Can't wait to get it, but am still in shock as this is my biggest purchase other than the camera itself. Should be interesting to play with!

Wow, you have some will power to not succumb to Canon's DOUBLE Rebate enticement. I cave in every time.:)

don't worry about it.. it's beautiful. the second it's on your camera your gonna be grinning ear to ear and probably leave it on your camera for weeks... Your gonna love all the ooh's and aah's folks give you when your walking around.. and your gonna laugh your head off at how many people scramble to get out of your way when you walk past...

congratulations.. seriously congratulations.. oh, and don't worry about that whole buyers remorse thing.. Mine disappeared just as soon as I started shooting..

Congrats. You're gonna love that lens. I've had mine for a few months now and even looking through the viewfinder is sharper, not to mention the photos.

You will be really pleased with this lens - it's a real gem, and a delight to use.
Makers a great portrait and canmdid lens, and the focal length is very useable. the lens is relatively light and easy to hand-hold all day!

Enjoy!

You have ordered a great lens. It will compliment your other focal lengths to give you a wide variety of focal ranges to explore. Enjoy :)
