i posted this in critique first, but couldn't manage to embed the files, so here goes again!

i got hired by an ad agency to take some mock ads for the annual 'culture town' event here in copenhagen. they opened their doors to the public and let them experience (somewhat) of how it's like to create an ad. which meant that they walked in from the street, got styled (makeup only), thought of a quote (this was done for Diesel, so it was their take on Successful Living), have their portrait taken by me, and then sit with a graphic artist who did the photo editing and put in their quote. then they walked home with their own ad, and it got put in the windows of the bureau, and some of them on the net.

For me I'm not sure how the images portray Successful Living , but I do like 4,6 and 7. IMO Successful Living might show a couple in a Ferrari of at Fine Dinning. JMO.

as i wrote, the participants in the event had to come up with their idea of what 'successful living' was, be it 'ferraris', 'to laugh a lot' or whatever, making it their own ad. i did not come up with any of these texts. but i did try to make them express (as much as was possible) what they had written in some way or another. the kid with his arms above his head and the quote "Biler!" (that means 'Cars!' in danish) i told him to act as if he'd just won Le Mans. stuff like that.

also, i had nothing to do with the background for the pictures, or the fact that they are in black/white. these were just the terms i was working under. when i get a cd with all the shots i took i'm probably going to give them my own treatment, for my portfolio.
