I really want the sigma 17-70 and have found one for £198 inc free delivery does anyone know of this lens anywhere else cheaper in UK?

That looks like an excellent price, is it from a reputable dealer in the UK, sounds a bit cheap to me.

Yeah, cheapest place I know is Bristol Cameras for £225 so I'd be dubious of anything cheaper than than for a new one.

Just checked a couple of price search engines and the cheapest is Cameras2u.com for £222

a shop on ebay are selling it for 199 plus, i think, 10 delivery.
just search sigma 17-70 and you should see it. i just bought mine about 3 weeks ago after using my mates for long enough. got mine for 235 from my local photo optix. was selling for 250 but he gave me 15 off the price. nice guy.
either way, i think sigma sell this lens for too cheap compared to other types of the same range. though ive never sampled any L glass , this lens gives me outstanding pictures. go get it :D

I have gone with a seller on fleabay and he promises me it will be here friday so If anyones interested I could give you the details as its worked out at £198, fingers crossed eh!

Ah, yeah, I didn't consider fleaBay.

If you buy from a reputable shop or person with near 100% then you should be pretty safe.
