Due to the lack of available wildlife I present our weird garden gnome...

Shot at f2.8 ISO 400 on a dull dreay day. I upgraded from the comparable Sigma and really prefer the Canon, thugh the Sigma was no slouch. AF is quicker with the Canon and seems a bit more accurate.

It would have been a lot better with some fill flash for catchlights in the eyes. :)

Funny, Mark. He could always create the catchlight with Photoshop...:)

If I PP it enough it wouldn't matter what lens I used :) And I think CS2 might be the only way to get catchlights into concrete eyeballs.

These were straight out of the camera, no PP except resizing for the web.

Where is the world coming to? Nowadays they buy very expensive and
professional lenses but they can not post a nice coulorfull duck shot.
Everything must be concrete. Concrete, everywere I see cold concrete.

Photografie is a lie ... We can never reproduce reality with a black box and some glass in front of it, all kept togheter in a white milkyway tube ...

We paint a red stripe on it and call it "L"? Instead of an "R" lens ...

And if that's not enough they don't even post us a duck shot ...

I Want a duck shot and I want it quick ...

Anyway good luck whit your beautyfull lens... ;)

Ahh. Nice gnome. Come back when you've got a duck, though.
