Our first visit to Smith Rock in Oregon was an accident. We were headed for Bend and found Smith Rock on the way. Quite an area for scenery and rock climbing. I was going to put this in People but I figured these are crazy people in this picture. Small, but crazy....

Not much in the way of editing yet as we are still on the road. I'll look at full edit of this one and others later this week.

WOW - For not much editing the colours are fantastic. Is there some on-camera stuff going on??

The camera is our 20D with the Tamron 28-75 f2.8. I shot raw and ran them thru DPP because I don't have CS2 installed on my laptop.

It is quite a colorful place that I will have to re-visit when we have more time. It's about 3 hours south of our home so not an impossible trip. Time of day will be critical. We hit it early afternoon and light was already an issue toward the end of our visit.

Great shot, Dave. We visited that place several years ago, and I thought it was fantastic. One of the many wonderful places in our great country that get little publicity. I suppose the rock climbers all know about it, but I never heard of it until we were staying nearby.

Awsome shot, I have been wanting to go climb there for years.
