Would you buy a lens from Amazon? It's cheaper than BH and offers free shipping. Can I still get the Canon rebate?
Thanks!

AeroSmith Goldmember More info | I bought my 1Ds Mark II from Amazon. It was slightly cheaper than B&H when I factored in the free two day shipping. And it was from Amazon directly. It will usually say whether or not the item is being sold by Amazon directly. And the free shipping only applies to items sold directly by Amazon. Josh Smith

The only thing I can say is that you need to look at the retrailer that the item is coming from. Remember that Amazon gets a good deal of their merchandise from retailers all over the country and that is why price fluctuates like the stock market. It is based on who has the best price at the moment. I was going to order my 30D and Sigma lens from Amazon but I wanted it overnight and did not want the free shipping that would take as much as a week. The 30D body could have been sent overnight but the lens was coming from Cameta Camera and they offer an Expedited 1-3 day delivery and that did not suit me. I did not want the body with no lens for another 2 days. So just look at the retailer to see if that is going to be a problem for you. Other than that, they are great to deal with and I would easily buy additional gear from them in the future. They have very competetive pricing. Robert

When you look at an item, it will tell you if it from Amazon or Not. Then, usually to the side, it will give you the price from other stores they deal w/ such as Adorama etc.. and their price. If the Adorama prices is say $10 cheaper than the Amazon price, you have to factor in the shipping cost as most times Amazon is free (as stated above) Moonlight Studios

I was looking at the Canon 70-200 F2.8 non IS and it was $10 cheaper than BH and offers free shipping. But without the rebate it ends up more. 5D, 350D, 24-70Lf2.8, 70-200Lf2.870-200Lf4, 24f2.8, 50f1.8, 10-22, tamron 28-75f2.8, tamron 90macro

Just make sure you order it direct instead of going thru their third party vendors. Hows that for response time. 5D, 350D, 24-70Lf2.8, 70-200Lf2.870-200Lf4, 24f2.8, 50f1.8, 10-22, tamron 28-75f2.8, tamron 90macro

Boy, I'm setting myslef up on that statement - ok, really good customer service. I have a lens on the way here form them right now. I do make it a point, as others mentioned, of making sure the item is from Amazon not another merchant. GEAR LIST
