Hi Lisa,

I've been reading this thread for about a month now, and I have to say - your pics have inspired me to post my first message!! Being a complete newbie to photography, I am really really impressed by how brilliantly clear and colourful these pics are. What sort of editing have you done to these pics (if any) to get them so beatiful(?) Or does it just come down to your amazing talent / equiptment?

That is so sweet....thank you so much. As far as equipment goes, I don't "think" my gear is particularly high end. I do know it well tho and I think that does help. I find what really helps the most especially with children is to not try too hard. I am not sure if that makes sense but the best pictures I get is just catching what they do. My son HATES having his pic taken. Most of my pictures do have photoshop applied in some form or another but I usually have an idea of what I want it to look like as soon as I take the picture. I could give an idea of the workflow if you'd like.

that would be great, thanks. Being new to it all, it's often hard to ask too many questions, because you don't even know where to start!
I think I know what you mean about not trying too hard with kids - they're so used to just doing their own thing that if you try to set up a shot too muh, it comes across as completely unnatural.

Hi Lisa,

I really like all of them , including the processing on both sets. I do not see anything i would do different ( or rather " try " to do different lol ). In any case whats a " magic drainpipe " ?
