My 2000th post :D +1 Dang !! Arithematic was my strong point too :o

This shot was taken at my Loch Eigheach campsite for the night, I couldn't help but be drawn to a series of dead trees, why did they die ?

My only conclusion I could make that the loch itself is dammed for Hydro electric purposes, as I was fully aware the Loch rises and falls dramatically, at times beyond the tree line, over time I imagine the soil, rich in nutrients has been washed away, replaced by silt and sharp sand.

Canon 17-40L @23mm | f13 | 1/2s | ISO100 | 0.6 NDG

This shot was taken in the forests above Loch Tummel, although I'm no tree hugger I would normally oppose the cutting up of a tree for arts sake, but to stumble upon these carvings unaware brought great pleasure to me :)

Great shots Scottie. I love the look of dead trees as well and this one is particularly well captured. Great sky too.

Nice shots, indeed. I have great empathy for the mathematically challenged, of which I am 2.

Great shots Scottie, really like the colours and comp of No 1. :)

I bought a set of Lee ND grad filters but have a real problem seeing where the cross over point is, just can't seem to get it in the right position.... justy have to keep trying I guess!!

Amazing both!

You'd score the maximum amount of points for the second one if I were to judge!

Congratulations!

Beautiful. Number 2 is cracking - just made for B+W.

Thanks for sharing them.

I could be wrong, but I think your 2000th post might have been on a thread that I started - my first photo post on the forum. If so, I'm honoured! Thanks for your kind comments.

Every shot that I see from Scotland just makes me want to go there more. The first one looks like something right out of Middle Earth. And I mean that in a non-cheesy way :)
