Beautiful. Number 2 is cracking - just made for B+W.

Thanks for sharing them.

I could be wrong, but I think your 2000th post might have been on a thread that I started - my first photo post on the forum. If so, I'm honoured! Thanks for your kind comments.

So it's your fault !! :lol: ;)

Just joking mate, thanks and welcome along :)

Every shot that I see from Scotland just makes me want to go there more. The first one looks like something right out of Middle Earth. And I mean that in a non-cheesy way

Thanks Buddy :) Canadian affair are doing dirt cheap flights over the winter so whadda ya waitin' for ;)

My 2000th post :D +1 Dang !! Arithematic was my strong point too :o

This shot was taken at my Loch Eigheach campsite for the night, I couldn't help but be drawn to a series of dead trees, why did they die ?

My only conclusion I could make that the loch itself is dammed for Hydro electric purposes, as I was fully aware the Loch rises and falls dramatically, at times beyond the tree line, over time I imagine the soil, rich in nutrients has been washed away, replaced by silt and sharp sand.

This shot was taken in the forests above Loch Tummel, although I'm no tree hugger I would normally oppose the cutting up of a tree for arts sake, but to stumble upon these carvings unaware brought great pleasure to me.
Thanks for looking and putting up with me for the last 11 months

Yea,its been a nightmare.:p:lol::lol:

You were lucky with the sky there,good cloud formations and not the usual white wash we get,nicely compossed.;)

Scottie, that is one fantastic sky you got there buddy, it almost seems as though Im looking out a window, There's nothing better than a realistic looking sky and you hit this one right on the head. FG interest are excellent, so is the color and detail, perfect shot.
Second shot is interesting, very artistic carving.

Thanks Frank Buddy, I'm heading back in that general direction this morning for the weekend, although I'd prefer slightly clearer skies I'm just hoping for shootable weather :)

Wow, nice photos! The first one seems almost surreal, like a painting.

I really like both shots! The sky in that first one is fantastic! The dead tree gives it kind of an erie look.
