I notice that when shooting in vertical position, the IS doesn't seem to work well, that is, the photo turn out to be soft. All the landscape shots are very sharp, without even paying attention on holding the camera still.

Macs are A solution, not THE solution. Get a good desktop i7 with Windows 7 and come tell me that sucks for photo or video editing.

I know if it has to do with IS or not, but I know they replace glass inside the lens. Mine has been fixed and its wonderful to use now! no gear List
