I really like the second image, though they are all great! they seem a tad bright, i think a little postprocessing could bring more color to the skin. But again, great work!

I read something once that said you can use a small halogen lamp facing the subject (but still way in the back of the room) in order to get their pupils to dilate less - letting you get more of the iris. When the flash fires and the shot is captured, the flash completely overwhelms the lamp, so there's no apparent effect on the lighting, the eyes just look better. I'm certainly no lighting expert, and I'm sure someone here will be able to give you much better advice than that, but maybe it's something to experiment with.
