I didn't see the first version Michael, but this one is very nice. Perhaps an under-exposure of e.g. 1 stop might have helped with the slight blowout to the left of the rocks?

I guess it will be easier to do this type of shot with overcast sky so you will have more diffused light. Also a circular polarizer would help to get rid of the glare of the water. Did you use any filters to stop the lens down?

I agree with John, about the blown out patch to the left but I do like the shine on the water to the right.
