first day out with the 70-300is, lovely lens. so apart from my bee shot, i did get some bird life. It's been severely cropped, pp, 1/320, f5.6, iso 100, 300mm.

Nice duck and reflection!

Is there a slight orange cast? (I guess that makes it "Duck L'Orange")

Very nice capture and good color saturation and the reflection is a sure bonus. Good job and congrats on the new lens Tina.

gee eagle eyes!!thanks paul, yes, i put a little orange into it to warm it up a bit. No good?

Nice, love the reflection. Where did you go to get these photos?

thanks reece, there is a bit of abandoned land here in ipswich near my friends house, and there is some water and wildlife there. I'll no doubt head out there again, as i did not get any keepers of the egrets, and it's quite nice first thing in the morning. Next time we'llhead out a bit earlier.

The picture is nice, focused and crisp, but what makes it OUTSTANDING, IMHO, is the reflection...great job!

Yep. That reflection helps make this shot. I like how this species is all brownish with just a hint of green on his wing.

Wow, I looked at this shot and liked it. Then I scrolled to see the entire shot and that killer reflection. Well done, good focuse and colors are fine!
