In both, I don't think there's very much color.
In the first, nothing grabs my attention - there's no subject. It also looks like you were shooting towards the sun so that doesn't help the colors.
In the second, I think it would look a bit better if the top and left branches of the tree hadn't been cropped. Also, the tree looks like it's moving to the right, which is quite cool, but it's cropped on that side and has nowhere to move to. The sense of motion may have been conveyed by placing the tree on the right, allowing the tree some room to move to.
I've found foliage landscape photography to be the toughest shooting I've ever tried. I love the colorful foliage, but have barely been able to get a decent shot.
