I wouldn't have been able to get good clear pictures of my daughter's graduation (inside) if it hadn't been for this lens. With my other ones I would've had to really crank up the ISO. With this one, I was able to use 800 and they came out great. It's not only good for portraits. I've used it inside when I needed a faster lens like for her graduation. I've also used it for basketball games and for some of her swimmeets (when I could get closer to the pool). These have really impressed me toogy!- I have always been curious bout this lens, i think it might compliment my 50mm for messing around outside trying to take portraits lol!
