Hold on Buying !!!!

I sometimes can't help but wonder if we buy cameras in order to take pictures or do we buy cameras in order to own the latest technology??? And the insecurity some people have with not owning the latest DSLR body (GOD FORBID, AN OUTDATED BODY) seems to really bother them....

I still take beautiful pictures with a 1965 Canon Pellix. When I show pictures taken with the Pellix in the same photo album as pictures taken with a 1Ds, most complimented me on the fine DSLR I have.....

Until I tell them that it's taken with a 40 year old camera.

The Pellix lens is a "L" lens though. It's a 50mm f/1.4 FL. Whereas the 50mm lens on the 1Ds is just a mere EF 50mm f/1.8.

Yeah, but for a second there I forgot and thought I still had the newest digital camera available with my 10D ... OH well, back to reality.

gah, I was confused with the mention of the "10D replacement" and the "$1000 DRebel".

Can I ask why the bumper bumped it with such useless information. They should of let the thread die peacefully.
