I got the idea from MDJAK (gotta give credit where credit is due :) ). He also set the bar high with his amazing photo. Here is my attempt at the hair and water effect, let me know what you think

think your angle is wrong, kitty cat. You need to get level with the water so the trail shows up against the background rather than getting lost in the pool.

I agree. Although its a cool shot, dont get me wrong...the water off her hair is getting lost in the color of the pool from that angle.

It's going to be 50 here over the weekend. Pool weather, I think not! But good to see you Southern CA members are enjoying yourselves. :(

If you try this again, I'd be curious to see how it looked around 30-40 minutes before sunset, and position the subject so the light shines right through the water trail. Or maybe try it with her facing you, angled about 30 degrees off camera axis, and have her backlit (dark usually looks really nice when backlit)

Maybe even throw in some fill flash, too

Could create some interesting effects
