Well, i bought it last night from b&h, and i couldnt wait so i overnighted it..

I love the lens.... so sharp, and the L quality is outstanding... One thing i will have to get used to is the weight... im used to a 17-85, and now my rig is a bit heavier..

Here are some shots i took this morning... C&C welcome..

I'm definitely saving up for this. I found a site that compares prices for this lens across different stores including B & H.

Going to buy it here for sure once I get enough money.

I checked you link and was like "WOW" I got screwed, until i saw that it wasn't the IS version. haha. I went the extra for the IS because I will probably hand hold a lot at longer ranges. Couldn't hurt to have it.

I was going to do the same thing, and get the IS, because i will be using it a lot for weddings, but, i am also getting a 30D hopefully in the next month or two, and figured i will need the extra cash...

Ill upgrade later... but on the other hand... i absolutely love this lens... i cant get over how totally awesome it is.
Anyone looking to buy this lens will be truely amazed, and happy with their purchase!
I cant wait to get to shoot some sports and live concerts with it.
