Oct 19, 2006 17:23 | #2 "I" is on, "O" is off. Have fun with this lens. I find that it is much better than its reputation, especially if you make sure that the focus looks sharp in the viewfinded under low-light conditions. If I am hasty taking shots in lower light, the AF will not always be great. In bright light, it works great. Try shooting at 1/10 of second handheld and see if you can hear it then. Just Steve lately....

At first, I didn't allow for this one second ramp up and a lot of my pictures were soft. Take your time, don't rush and you should get some real sharp shots. One other thing about this lens, if your using a tripod turn the IS off "O". Adam

So at 135 x crop factor = 216. So with IS off you'd need a shutter of 1/200 or fast to not get shake, with IS on 1/60 or faster. I try to stay above 1/80.
