How much to charge?

A family who I just shot for xmas pictures wants me to take the "whole" family portrait. Which includes 27 people 7 of the 27 are kids under the age of 9. 2 of the grandparents and the rest are couples. Since I am just starting out how much would you charge for the travel(it's about 40 minutes), the time and the cd of pics when we're done? thanks.

The fact you are starting out is irrelevant - they asked you to do it.

Personally I would ask for $1000

I agree ... you must charge as if you have a storefront location. And do NOT give away the CD. Most studios only allow a client to have a CD after placing a hefty order. To give a CD with no orders, you should charge what a 16X20 would cost a client times how many poses there are. Or give a CD if they place a minimum of at least $1,500.00 in orders first. (full res) I give a CD with a finished order ... but it is low-res smaller images they can't get printed.
