Okay, so here's my first landscape post...I think. Anyway, I'm really looking for someone to point out the problem areas so I can work on getting better shots. I'm sure my shots will get better after I get my XTi...anyway, here you go!

The biggest problem I see with it is the sky. Depending on the direction of the light, a CPL or GND filter could have done wonders here.
I really like the way you've composed it though. I might give it a tad bit of contrast but, besides that, the colors look nice to me. Good first effort.

PS: I love the still water and the reflections.

Thanks. I need to put this in my signature, but the only equipment I have available to me at the time is a Rebel K2 (my XTi is on the way), and the 28mm-90mm zoom lens. I have no filters, no other lenses, nothing. I do have a tripod, though.

A challenging shot without filters. you could take another exposure that is correct for the sky and stack them in PS.

The tripod is definitely a plus but I would look into at least a Cokin P setup (even if you start with a 3-stop ND grad for skies and 3-stop ND for water effects) and a Kenko Pro1 CPL. You'll be amazed at the difference they make.

I look forward to looking at future post and thank you for sharing this one.
