Which L's are weather sealed?

Instead of a garbage bag... Use clingy Saran Wrap(TM).

Failing that, sure - any plastic bag and a couple of rubber bands will work. Cut out around the end of the lens and put a hood on.

I used my EF 35mm f/2.0 in just about every condition; snow, rain, mud, sand. Eventually the AF mechanism had an issue - likely a grain of sand in the works. Took about five years but eventually it caught up with me.

The L's have extra sealing around every potential opening; buttons, switches, focus and zoom rings and lens mount. To complete the sealing, Canon recommends a filter in the front.
