That is an awesome shot! So clear...looks like layers of colored paper torn out and pasted on top of each other. Don't you just love the mountains?

Very much so, thanks for the nice words. Where this shot was taken is truly one of my favorite places on earth.

That is a very beautiful shot. It has a touch of noise so you might consider reducing that. Really a nit-pick though as this is very well done.

Very nice! 4hrs away and I haven't been up that way in years. This is motivation!

I feel your pain, lando... I go to school at NCSU now and shot that while home on Fall Break. My hometown is less than 10 minutes from the parkway. I didn't realize how good I had it til I got down here :D

At least you have some city-scapes in Raleigh. I have chickens, cows, and a suprising shortage of ducks in Hillsborough.

I love the look of this, particularly the layers as Karen mentioned.

Thanks, Sara... thats exactly what I wanted to be the subject of the shot, the layers. I find myself with a recurring "patterns of nature" theme in my photos, I guess lines/shapes/patterns just catch my eye and thus, my camera.

Great shot Scott! I love the mountains in that part of the country.
