I had posted this in the nature thread but since it is a fall theme I thought I would post it here so I could get the opinions of my frequent critics. Thanks for looking .

Love the textures. Did you put the leaf there yourself?

Too bad about the compression artifacts. The full res image must have amazing detail! Excellent shot Reigh! And good to see Elisabeth-Ann's PP effect here...

If you had managed to put it up there without putting it through the loop on the bottom right it would have made it more impressive, but otherwise a great idea, and excecution.

Great composition, Reigh, and detail. I like your touch of letting the stem fall outside the image. Very creative.

Nice shot! Great detail and love the stem coming outside the frame! You did it with Elements 3? That is the kind of bark we had on those front birch trees that fell down in my yard last week.

Yes Carol I used layers in Elements 3 to create the stem outside of the image and to create the framing a use a plug-in called Flexible Frames available at www.shutterfreaks.com (external link). It is very easy to use and reasonably priced. Thanks for your fine compliments on my photos.

Reigh, you should make a series of these with different colored leaves. I didn't notice the stem through the loop until someone else mentioned it...very sneaky. :-) I'd mention how much I like the stem outside the frame, but it's already been mentioned several times. :D

Lovely creative work Reigh, and I like the stem extending outside the frame.
