I'm trying some new techniques for B/W. How's this conversion look to you?

I think the conversion looks really good. I'm a B&W fan so can you share your conversion method. I would like to get better with my B&W conversions.

Thank You! As for the conversion, I'm going into the channel mixer, clicking on monotone, and adjusting the red, green and blue settings until I like what I see. On most, I'm setting the red to about 15-20, the green to about 50-60, and the blue to about 20-25. Seems to be working better than any other methods I've used. Plus, each photo is so different, so it seems silly to use the same 'settings' on each conversion. I think each photo deserves it's own settings to get the most from the conversion.

Looks good, Trish! That's probably the best way to go about a B&W conversions since it gives you plenty of control over the end result. I tend to blow white portions of the shot out if I'm not careful though...

The skin looks fine, but on my monitor it looks like a head a hand, and fingers cut off from a body because everything else is all black.

Great Job, and good to know.
