Fairly new to the forum. Mainly shot sport here in the UK. However, like to shoot portrait too so thought I would introduce myself with some imagery. All shots taken on the street. As you can see I am a big fan of tight crops - in your face if you will.

I'm not a huge fan of over-sharpened portraits, but in your case I think that it works. These certainly belong on a wall somewhere for people to view (even though they are not necessarily easy to look at). Have some prints made if you have not already!

I have always enjoyed these types of portraits. Though not flattering, they deliver such intimate character.

These are excellent bristol... I like your style, a lot. #2 and #5 get top honors from me!

I love the tight crops (and it eliminates the problems of busy backgrounds outside). These are excellent IMO. They capture the true character of a person, not all staged and pretty. Just love #2 and that last one. I'm looking forward to your future posts, I like your style.

I love them too. I can really feel them...feels like they are looking straight through me. Great shots.

I love these in ya face shots, personally i think you have cropped a little too tight cutting off chins and ears...but thats just my opinion

I don't like over sharpened pictures and all but one are way over sharpened. Just because you can, doesn't mean you should!

I love them, great work. I can sit here and nitpick saying the sky is blown, its oversharpened, whatever.... The fact is these are excellent portraits with a lot of character, sometimes its better to have character than technical perfection. Thanks for sharing!

number 2 is fabulous! They are all great, but number 2 is definately my favorite of them

A wonderful set! i really like your style!

Nice style, reminds me of some stuff I see in Black and White. I like them. Definitely candidates for prints.
