Hey, don't die of jealousy! You have a 20D and I have a 300D! LOL! These two lenses are about the cost of your 17-40L. ;) You could get them. I am the one who is jealous. :p No L lenses for me...

Thanks! I am really looking forward to the uber sharpness that is associated with these two lenses, not to meantion the bokeh! I have a Sigma 30mm 1.4 that does a brilliant job, but it is a little to wide for my taste for portraits.

Congratulations. Good trio 30, 50, 85.

do you know how the 30 compares to canon's 28/1.8?
i was thinkin of 28, 50, 85 and have my own baby trinity (since im too broke for the holy trinity )

but really...im debating 30 and 28...but i keep reading mixed reviews...it's a mystery!

Two very fine lenses to complement your Sigma 30MM :-) Congrats on an excellent purchase!

Now go get the Canon 100 EF f/2.8 Macro and you will own the "Affordable Fab Four" Who needs the "Holy Trinity" ???

Congrats on the new glass. I love my 50mm f/1.4.

I broke it to my wife tonight at dinner that I want to get a longer lens. I was thinking about the 100-400mm. She did not throw anything at me. :D

Thanks! I got it Friday. I have not really given it a work out yet, but from the few test shots both the 50 and the 85 are superb! Maybe I will have some to post Monday. :)

They are so quick at focusing!!! I am pleasently surprised. They feel kinda plasticy compared to my Sigma lenses. I do like how lighty they are!

Thanks! They are certainly worth the money. GREAT price for quality! You will not be disappointed. I will be posting some examples as soon as my machine finishes rendering this massive project...
