I recently rented the EF 400mm f/4 DO IS from Lensrentals.com
for a week. I went out today, though the weather just sucked...a frontal system was moving through, so it was rainy/foggy in the morning, then dark/windy in the afternoon, and sunny/very windy in the evening in and around Harrisburg, Pa.
All in all, I am enjoying this lens to the full, though, it doesn't like bright-headlights very much. Morning / Evening.
The first few are from the duck pond in Boiling Springs in the early morning...very dark, but the lens is very sharp at f/4.

#5 - A farm field just outside of town...just after the rain came through, and some nice light shining down.
#6 - An officer directing traffic around downtown, where a car accident is blocking the road.
#7 - A UPS trailer train crosses the Rockville Bridge in the background, as a tree branch wafts in the wind.
#8 - A [-insert bird name here-] chills on the rocks of the Susquehanna.
